Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 1.00 to 2.00 higher and slaughter heifers had instances of higher/lower with good value on higher quality slaughter steers and heifers. No Holstein slaughter today to compare. Cows were 2.00 to 3.00 higher with bulls 4.00 to 5.00 higher with a good offering of high dressing cows and bulls this week. Feeder steers were trending higher and feeder heifers 5.00 to 9.00 higher and feeder bulls sharply higher with good quality feeders today.
Supply included: 17% Feeder Cattle (20% Steers, 53% Heifers, 27% Bulls); 83% Slaughter Cattle (19% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 44% Heifers, 26% Cows, 10% Bulls, 1% Bullocks). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 57%.
