Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 4.00 higher with slaughter heifers sharply higher and lighter numbers last week to compare too. No comparison on Holstein slaughter steers. Cows and bulls had instances of higher/lower. Feeder calves were too few last week to compare but all feeder calves were trending higher this week with some good groups today.
Supply included: 30% Feeder Cattle (18% Steers, 73% Heifers, 9% Bulls); 70% Slaughter Cattle (34% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 28% Heifers, 19% Cows, 5% Bulls, 13% Dairy Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 44%.
