Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 1.00 to 4.00 lower with slaughter heifers instances of higher/lower with still good value on higher quality steers and heifers. Holstein slaughter steers were 1.00 this week. Cows were 1.00 to 4.00 higher and bulls 1.00 higher. Feeder steers and heifers were trending higher with feeder bulls 2.00 to 4.00 lower and still good value on value added and fancy type feeders.
Supply included: 22% Feeder Cattle (23% Steers, 35% Heifers, 42% Bulls); 78% Slaughter Cattle (25% Steers, 9% Dairy Steers, 41% Heifers, 22% Cows, 4% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 48%.
