Compared to last week slaughter steers were unevenly steady and slaughter heifers were 1.00 to 2.00 higher with a good offering of steers and heifers. Holstein slaughter steers were 2.00 to 4.00 higher today. Cows were 4.00 lower and bulls 3.00 higher with a lighter offering this week. Feeder steers were too few to compare with feeder heifers 3.00 to 6.00 lower and feeder bulls trending lower.
Supply included: 9% Feeder Cattle (7% Steers, 41% Heifers, 52% Bulls); 91% Slaughter Cattle (42% Steers, 4% Dairy Steers, 48% Heifers, 3% Cows, 3% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 34%.
