Compared to last week slaughter steers were 3.00 to 5.00 lower with slaughter heifers 2.00 to 4.00 lower with lower packer inquiry this week. Holstein slaughter steers were 7.00 higher today. Cows had instances of higher/lower with bulls 2.00 lower. There was a light offering of feeder calves this week that were trending lower with light buyer participation.
Supply included: 10% Feeder Cattle (48% Steers, 26% Heifers, 26% Bulls); 89% Slaughter Cattle (38% Steers, 13% Dairy Steers, 30% Heifers, 13% Cows, 5% Bulls, 0% Bullocks); 1% Replacement Cattle (100% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 61%.
