Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 1.00 to 4.00 higher with slaughter heifers 3.00 to 4.00 higher with higher packer inquiry again this week. No Holstein slaughter steers to compare. Cows were 1.00 to 6.00 higher with good valve on high dressing and bulls were 2.00 higher today. All feeder calves were too few to compare, but were trending higher.
Supply included: 14% Feeder Cattle (12% Steers, 44% Heifers, 44% Bulls); 86% Slaughter Cattle (40% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 39% Heifers, 14% Cows, 6% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 36%.
