Wyoming Weekly Cattle Auction Summary

Archived Report

7/10/2021

Total Run: 1,430

Market Notes

Compared to last week slaughter and feeder cows traded 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Slaughter bulls also traded 2.00 higher. Cow/calf pairs sold steady with no test on feeder cattle. Demand was mostly good. Cows continue to make their way to town as most of WY has received little to no rains. Some of these receipts are coming from surrounding state that are dry. Quite a lot of locally produced hay has been heading to Montana to ranchers for late summer and winter feed. Cattle Country Video had there first three summer special sales last Tuesday and can be viewed at https://www.ams.usda.gov/mnreports/ams_3241.pdf

Supply included: 54% Slaughter Cattle (90% Cows, 10% Bulls); 46% Replacement Cattle (100% Cow-Calf Pairs).
