Compared to last week: Steer and heifer calves not well tested. Feeder steers and heifers firm to 2.00 higher. Fleshy cows and bulls firm; lean cows steady to 2.00 lower. Trade fairly active. Demand fairly good. Though the amounts were spotted, the trade area received much needed rain early in the week with reports ranging from a half inch to over two inches.
Supply included: 74% Feeder Cattle (65% Steers, 35% Heifers); 26% Slaughter Cattle (96% Cows, 4% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 91%.
