Compared to two weeks ago: Feeder steers and heifers traded mostly 5.00 to 8.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves traded 7.00 to 10.00 higher, with instances of 15.00 to 20.00 higher on the the lighter weight weaned calves. Slaughter cattle traded mostly 5.00 higher. Trading activity was active on very good buyer demand. Warmer than average temperatures and limited moisture has increased drought conditions in the area. Area wheat crops and pastures are in need of a good rain or snow.

Supply included: 79% Feeder Cattle (60% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 29% Heifers, 2% Bulls, 8% Dairy Heifers); 18% Slaughter Cattle (99% Cows, 1% Bulls); 3% Replacement Cattle (5% Stock Cows, 95% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 77%.
