Compared to last week: Steer calves under 600 lbs and heifer calves under 500 lbs not well tested; a few packages of 500 to 600 lb heifer calves sold firm to 2.00 higher. Feeder steers over 600 lbs were steady to 1.00 lower; feeder heifers over 600 lbs not well tested. Slaughter cows and bulls mostly steady. Trade fairly active. Demand fairly good.
Supply included: 78% Feeder Cattle (79% Steers, 21% Heifers); 22% Slaughter Cattle (97% Cows, 3% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 80%.
