Weighted Average Report for Wednesday 7/27/2016

Cattle Receipts: 538   Last week: 364   Last year: 285

Compared to last week: Feeder steer and heifer calves sold steady to 3.00 higher 
with good demand. Yearling steers and heifers 3.00 higher with good demand.
Extreme heat has slowed movement of livestock this week. Higher CME futures has 
increased demand this week. Slaughter cows and bulls fully steady.
 
10 replacement cattle, 30 slaughter cattle, and 329 feeder cattle.
Slaughter cows made up 3.7 percent of offering, slaughter bulls 2.0 
percent, replacement cows .1.5 percent and feeders 92.0 percent. The 
feeder supply included 59 percent steers and bulls and 40 percent 
heifers. Near 65 percent of run weighed over 600 lbs.
