Kentucky Weekly Livestock Summary for the week of Apr 9-14, 2018

Receipts: 27,355       Last Week 14,699      Last Year 23,678

Compared to last week steer and heifer calves sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher with 
instances to 10.00 higher.  Demand was good to very good for a good through 
attractive offering.  Yearling steers and heifers sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher with 
good demand.  Slaughter cows and slaughter bulls sold steady to 4.00 higher with 
moderate to good demand. 
         
  In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 43 percent and heifers 
approximately 39 percent. Feeder cattle over 600 lbs totaled approximately 46 
percent.
