Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 08/02/2018
 
Receipts:  2761    Last Week:  3527    Year Ago:  5014
 
   Compared to last week:  Steers and heifers sold
with mostly steady to firm undertones in narrow
comparisons as cattle were of different weights 
than last week.  Demand was good, with best demand
seen for loads of cattle in light flesh. Flesh varied
from light to moderate plus.  Quality was attractive
with good weighing conditions.  Feeder cattle were
57 percent steers, 43 percent heifers, 100 percent 
weighing over 600 lbs.  Sale next Thursday August 9th,
with 2,000 head expected.
