Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 05/28/2015
 
Receipts:  1995    Last Week:  3535    Year Ago:  3067
 
   Compared to last week:  Best test of feeder steers was
800-850 lbs and 900-950 lbs 1.00 to 5.00 higher.  Feeder
heifers 750-850 lbs and 900-950 lbs steady to 6.00 higher,
850-900 lbs sharply higher.  Demand was very good with an 
active market.  Attractive offering of long strings of 
backgrounded cattle, with many selling in load lots.  Cattle 
were carrying moderate to moderate flesh, with few light 
weight and light flesh cattle on offer.  Triple digit gains
in both the CME Feeder Cattle and Live Cattle contracts 
were very supportive to today's market.  Feeder cattle
supply was 44 percent steers, 46 percent heifers, 10 percent
Holstein steers; 96 percent weighing over 600 lbs.  Sale
next Thursday June 4th expecting 1,500 head of feeder cattle.
The Customer Appreciaton and BBQ Special will be held June 11th.
