Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 04/02/2015

   compared to last week:  Feeder steers under 650 lbs had too
few comparable sales, 650-1000 lbs steady to 3.00 lower with 
the exception of 850-900 lbs fully steady, 1000-1100 lbs
2.00 to 4.00 higher.  Feeder heifers lightly tested under 700 
lbs, 700-800 lbs steady to 2.00 lower, 800-900 lbs mostly steady
with instance 5.00 lower on 800-850 lbs, 900-950 lbs 3.00 higher
on a light test. Demand good to very good.  Majority of cattle
were out of backgrounding lots and were carrying light to moderate
flesh, moderate plus flesh seen at times on some heavy weight cattle.
Few pacages of light fall calves, both off the cow and weaned short 
time, in moderate flesh suitable for summer grazing sold with good demand.
Feeder cattle were 61 percent steers, 37 percent heifers, balance 
Holsteins and bulls; 96 percent weighing over 600 lbs.  Sale next 
Thursday April 9th, expecting 4,000 head.
