Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 02/26/2015

   Compared to last week:  Feeder steers under 650 lbs too few
comparable sales, 650-700 lbs steady to 5.00 lower, 700-850 lbs
5.00 to 10.00 lower, 850-950 lbs 2.00 to 5.00 lower, 950-1000 lbs
5.00 to 10.00 lower, over 1000 lbs no comparable sales.  Feeder
heifers 600-650 lbs and 700-750 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 lower, 650-700 lbs
2.00 to 5.00 lower, 750-850 lbs 3.00 to 8.00 lower, 850-900 lbs 
1.00 to 5.00 lower.  Demand was good to very good with excellent
demand for replacement quality heifers.  Several long strings of 
reputation cattle offered today, with average to attractive quality.
Flesh condition was moderate to moderate plus with few consignments
in light flesh.  CME Feeder Cattle contracts closed higher today with
Mar up 3.32 at 200.30, Apr up 3.20 at 199.05.  Feeder cattle were
55 percent steers, 44 percent heifers, balance Holsteins and bulls;
92 percent weighing over 600 lbs.  Sale next Thursday March 5th
expecting 5,000 head of feeder cattle.
