Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 01/22/2015

   Compared to last week:  Feeder steers under 600 lbs had no comparable
sales, over 600 lbs steady to 5.00 lower.  Feeder heifers under 600 lbs 
had no comparable sales, 600-700 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 lower with instances 
to 10.00 lower, 700-800 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 lower, over 800 lbs lightly 
tested.  Moderate to good demand for today's offering of heavier fleshed 
cattle, best demand seen for cattle in light flesh.  Quality today varied 
throughout the sale with plain to attractive quality on offer today.  
Cattle are starting to carry some extra mud and tag due to the recent warm 
temps.  Feeder cattle were 55 percent steers, 39 percent heifers, balance 
Holsteins and bulls; 81 percent weighing over 600 lbs.  Sale next Thursday 
January 29th, expecting 6,000-7,000 head of feeder cattle.
