Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 06/12/2014

   Compared to two weeks ago:  Feeder steers 700-750 lbs 10.00 to 
15.00 higher, 800-1000 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 higher, over 1000 lbs 
sharply higher in a very narrow comparison.  Feeder heifers 700-750 
lbs steady to 5.00 higher, 750-800 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 higher, 
800-850 and 900-950 lbs 5.00 to 8.00 higher, 850-900 lbs steady to 
3.00 higher in a very narrow comparison.  Very active market today 
with good to very good demand for all classes of cattle.  Best demand
was seen for light fleshed steers and heifers weighing over 800 lbs. 
Majority of cattle offered today were from backgrounding lots with a
few strings of cattle off of grass.   The seats were full today with 
many buyers and consignors in attendance for the Summer BBQ and 
Customer Appreciation Sale.  CME Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle 
futures closed sharply higher today supporting this very strong 
market.  The feeder cattle supply consisted of 49 percent steers, 
48 percent heifers, 3 percent Holsteins; 98 percent weighed over 
600 lbs.  Next sale will be held Thursday June 19th expecting 3,000 
head of feeder cattle.
