Weighted Average Auction Report of Siler City, Turnersburg, Shelby, North Wilkesboro 
and Smithfield for the Week Ending Thursday Jun 1, 2017

Cattle Receipts:  2963          Last Week:  3577            Last Year:  2559

Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls were mostly steady to 3.00 lower. 
Feeder steers were mostly steady to 3.00 lower, bulls mostly 3.00 to 5.00 higher and 
heifers unevenly steady. Demand, market activity and offerings were moderate. Quality 
ranged from plain to average.

Slaughter cows made up 16 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 3 percent, 
replacement cows 3 percent, other cows 1 percent, and feeders 77 percent. The feeder 
supply included 35 percent steers, 37 percent heifers, and 29 percent bulls. Near 24 
percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
