Weighted Average Auction report of Siler City, Canton, Turnersburg, North Wilkesboro, 
Norwood, Shelby and Smithfield for the Week Ending Thursday Feb 11, 2016

Cattle Receipts:  3205          Last week:  4186           Last Year:  4007

Compared to last week, slaughter cows were 1.00 to 4.00 lower, bulls 3.00 to 5.00 
lower. Feeder steers were mostly steady to 6.00 higher, bulls mostly 3.00 to 4.00 
higher and heifers mostly steady to 4.00 higher. Demand, buyer activity and offerings 
were moderate. Quality ranged from plain to average. 
Slaughter cows made up 19 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 2 percent, 
replacement cows 1 percent, other cows 2 percent, and feeders 76 percent.  The feeder 
supply included 28 percent steers, 44 percent heifers, and 28 percent bulls. Near 23 
percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
