Weighted Average Auction report of Canton, North Wilkesboro, Norwood, Siler City, 
Smithfield and Turnersburg for the Week Ending Thursday Jun 18, 2015

Cattle Receipts:  3365          Last week:  4763            Last Year:  3806

Compared to last week, slaughter cattle were mostly steady and feeder cattle were 
mostly 8.00-10.00 lower. Demand and offerings were limited due to excessive heat and 
humidity. Activity was moderate. Quality was average. Slaughter cows made up 15 
percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 2 percent, replacement cows 4 percent, other 
cows 2 percent, and feeders 77 percent.  The feeder supply included 35 percent 
steers, 38 percent heifers, and 28 percent bulls. Near 19 percent of the run weighed 
over 600 lbs.
