Weighted Average Auction report of Canton, Norwood, Siler City, and Turnersburg for 
the Week Ending Thursday Feb 26, 2015

Cattle Receipts:  1465          Last week:  775             Last Year:  5799

Too few comparable sales to establish a market trend. Offerings were light to due 
adverse weather conditions. Demand was light and buyer activity was slow due to many 
buyers not being in attendance because of snow and hazardous road conditions. Quality 
was average. Slaughter cows made up 27 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 3 
percent, replacement cows 2 percent, other cows 4 percent, and feeders 64 percent.  
The feeder supply included 28 percent steers, 47 percent heifers, and 25 percent 
bulls. Near 20 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
