Weighted Average Auction report of Canton, North Wilkesboro, Norwood, Siler City, 
Smithfield and Turnersburg for the Week Ending Thursday Jan 29, 2015

Cattle Receipts:  3625          Last week:  5326           Week:  4065

Compared to last week, demand and market activity was moderate. Offerings were light 
and quality was plain to average. Slaughter cattle were mostly steady. Feeder cattle 
were mostly 3.00 to 5.00 lower. Slaughter cows made up 19 percent of the offering, 
slaughter bulls 3 percent, replacement cows 2 percent, other cows 1 percent, and 
feeders 75 percent.  The feeder supply included 37 percent steers, 40 percent 
heifers, and 24 percent bulls. Near 14 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
