Weighted Average Auction Report of Canton, Mount Airy, North Wilkesboro, 
Norwood, Siler City, Smithfield, Turnersburg for the Week Ending Thursday, 
February 14, 2013

Cattle Receipts:  3595          Last Week:  4560          Last Year:  5341

Slaughter cows trended mostly 1.00 to 1.50 lower; bulls were 50 cents to 6.50 
higher.  Slaughter steers trended mostly 2.00 to 7.50 lower; heifers were 2.00 
to 5.00 lower.

Slaughter cows made up 17 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 3 percent, 
replacement cows 3 percent, other cows 1 percent, and feeders 76 percent.  The 
feeder supply included 31 percent steers, 38 percent heifers, and 31 percent 
bulls.  Near 17 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
