WEEKLY BOXED & DISTRIBUTIVE/LCL VEAL CUTS TRADE
Northeast and North Central Basis  -     FOB Major Production Points

Compared to last week:  Special fed veal cut prices were mostly steady,
with some weakness in loins noted on light to moderate demand and offerings.
Veal features were down at lower prices on all items, except stew meat
which was offered at higher prices.  Leg cutlets were the most popular veal
item seen in weekly circulars.  Retailers were well prepared for the winter
storm that covered much of the US, as roast items were a popular item seen
in the majority of the weekly ads.
