Compared to last Monday at the same market, not enough stocker cattle for
accurate trends. Feeder cattle firm in a light test. Cattle futures improved and
feeder buyers had less to fill orders with. Trade active with good demand.
Slaughter cows steady to weak. Slaughter bulls steady to firm. Trade active
with good demand. Slaughter cows made up 60 percent of the offering, slaughter
Bulls 10 percent, and feeders 30 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included
94 percent steers and 6 percent heifers. Near 100 percent of the run weighed over
600 lbs.
Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1-2: 600-700 lbs 663 143.00-145.00; 700-800 lbs 745
137.00; 800-900 lbs 846 129.00-132.00. Medium and Large 2-3: 800-900 lbs 105.00.
Large 1-2: 900-1000 lbs 114.00.
Feeder Heifers Medium and Large 1-2: 600-700 lbs 129.50.
