Compared to last Monday at the same market, stocker and feeder cattle
5.00-15.00 higher. Trade very active. Demand was very good for all classes as
buyers were enthused from the strong rally on the CME board last week.
Slaughter cows steady to 1.00 higher. Slaughter bulls 5.00-6.00 higher. Trade
very active with very good demand. Good demand for turnout and feeder type
cows. Slaughter cows made up 33 percent of the offering, Slaughter bulls 10
percent, and feeders 57 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 57
percent steers and 43 percent heifers. Near 47 percent of the run weighed
over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 215.00-223.00; 400-500 lbs
201.00, Full; 500-600 lbs 185.50-195.00; 500-600 lbs 174.00, Full; 600-700 lbs
180.00-190.00, Calves; 600-700 lbs 174.00, Full. Small 4: 300-400 lbs 98.00.
Feeder Holstein Steers: Large 2-3: 400-500 lbs 122.00, Full; 800-900 lbs
125.00; 900-1000 lbs 119.00.
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2: 600-700 lbs 158.00-162.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 193.00-197.00; 500-600 lbs
