Compared to last Monday at the same market, not enough stocker or feeder
cattle this week for accurate trends, however a lower undertone was noted due
to light offerings and light buyer attendance. Trade slow with light to
moderate demand. Slaughter cows and bulls 2.00-3.00 lower. Trade slow to
moderate with light to moderate demand with an interest or so out of the
market. Slaughter cows made up 66 percent of the offering, Slaughter bulls 5
percent, and feeders 29 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 60
percent steers and 40 percent heifers. Near 31 percent of the run weighed
over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 252.00; 600-700 lbs 208.00.
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2: 500-600 lbs 221.00; 600-700 lbs 179.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 224.00-225.00; 500-600 lbs
211.00. Small and Medium 1-2: 400-500 lbs 209.00.
