Compared to last Monday at the same market, not enough stocker or feeder
cattle this week for accurate trends. Trade slow to moderate with light to
moderate demand on reduced receipts. Slaughter cows and bulls 4.00-6.00
higher. Trade very active with very good demand. Slaughter cows made up 64
percent of the offering, Slaughter bulls 5 percent, and feeders 31 percent of
the supply. The feeder supply included 39 percent steers and 61 percent
heifers. Near 73 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 500-600 lbs 239.00; 600-700 lbs 206.00;
700-800 lbs 192.00.
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2: 600-700 lbs 190.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 600-700 lbs 206.00; 700-800 lbs 201.00;
700-800 lbs 188.50, Full. Medium and Large 2-3: 800-900 lbs 132.00, Heiferettes.
Small and Medium 1-2: 500-600 lbs 200.00-203.00.
