Compared to last Monday at the same market, not enough feeder cattle this
week for accurate trends. Trade active with good demand. Slaughter cows 4.00-
5.00 lower as local packers cut kills in response to lackluster meat demand.
Slaughter bulls 1.00-2.00 higher. Trade moderate with light to moderate
demand. Slaughter cows made up 70 percent of the offering, Slaughter bulls 10
percent, and feeders 20 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 76
percent steers and 24 percent heifers. Near 76 percent of the run weighed
over 600 lbs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 500-600 lbs 144.00; 700-800 lbs 127.00-
133.75; 900-1000 lbs 127.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 500-600 lbs 134.00; 700-800 lbs 124.00.
