Compared to last Monday at the same market, Stocker steers and heifers
less than 600 lbs. 2.00-3.00 lower in a light test. Not enough feeder cattle
for accurate trends. Trade slow with light to moderate demand. Slaughter cows
2.00-3.00 lower. Not enough slaughter bulls for an accurate test. Trade slow
with light to moderate demand. Inclement weather condition?s affecting the
movement of livestock in the trade area. Slaughter cows made up 54 percent of
the offering, Slaughter bulls 1 percent, 17 percent replacement cows, and
feeders 28 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 57 percent
steers and 43 percent heifers. Near 61 percent of the run weighed over 600
lbs. Replacement cows pretested for pregnancy, age and bangs.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 400-500 lbs 170.00; 600-700 lbs 134.00-
139.50; 700-800 lbs 135.50-136.00; 800-900 lbs 129.50.
Holstein Steers: Large 2-3: 200-300 lbs 130.00, Per Head.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 500-600 lbs 132.00-134.50; 600-700 lbs
125.00-130.00.
