Weekly Combined Weighted Average Feeder Cattle Report

Alabama livestock auctions for the week ending October 28, 2017.

   Total estimated receipts this week 12,000, last week 16,464 
and 12,443 last year. Compared to last week: Slaughter cows and 
bulls 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Replacement cows and pairs sold mostly 
steady. All feeder classes sold mostly steady to 4.00 higher. 
Trade active with good demand on feeders. Supply this week consisted of 81 
percent feeder classes with 18 percent over 600 lbs. The feeder supply included 
20 percent steers, 44 percent heifers, and 35 percent bulls.
