Weekly Combined Weighted Average Feeder Cattle Report

   Alabama livestock auctions for the week ending January 19, 2013.
Total estimated receipts this week 7,200, last week 12,733 and 
14,359 last year. Compared to last week: All Feeder classes sold 
2.00 to 4.00 higher. Trade moderate with moderate to good demand on 
feeders. Supply this week consisted of 80 percent feeder classes 
with 18 percent over 600 lbs. Feeder supply consisted of 22 percent 
steers, 43 percent heifers, and 35 percent bulls.

Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 36 head 750 lbs 139.00 split load; 
63 head 800 lbs 139.25; 22 head 910 lbs 131.00 split load. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2: 65 head 785 lbs 133.75; 62 head 825 lbs 
133.50. Cattle sold with a 2 percent shrink, 4 cent slide up only, and to 
be delivered January 15-30, 2013.
