Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Thursday May 25, 2017.

Cattle Receipts: 1,264    Last Week: 1,586   Last Year: 1,106

 Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly 
steady. All feeder classes sold mostly steady. Trade active with 
moderate demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold 
mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 11 percent of the 
offerings, bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 7 percent, 
and feeders 81 percent. The feeder supply included 22 percent 
steers, 42 percent heifers, and 36 percent bulls. Near 25 percent 
of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
