Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Thursday March 30, 2017.

Cattle Receipts: 1,886    Last Week: 1,477   Last Year: 1,304

 Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly 
steady. All feeder classes sold mostly steady to 2.00 higher. 
Trade moderate with moderate demand on feeders. Replacement cows 
and pairs sold mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 10 percent 
of the offerings, bulls 2 percent, replacement cows and pairs 5 
percent, and feeders 78 percent. The feeder supply included 12 
percent steers, 39 percent heifers, and 49 percent bulls. Near 
20 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
