Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Thursday March 16, 2017.

Cattle Receipts:   933    Last Week: 1,718   Last Year: 1,216

 Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly 
steady. All feeder classes sold mostly steady to 3.00 higher. 
Trade active with good demand on feeders. Replacement cows and 
pairs sold mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 8 percent of 
the offerings, bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 5 
percent, and feeders 86 percent. The feeder supply included 42 
percent steers, 34 percent heifers, and 24 percent bulls. Near 
31 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
