Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Wednesday March 1, 2017.

Cattle Receipts: 1,955   Last Week: 1,458   Last Year: 3,120

   Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. 
All feeder classes sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Trade active with good 
demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold mostly steady. 
Slaughter cows made up 5 percent of the offerings, bulls 2 percent, 
replacement cows and pairs 12 percent, and feeders 81 percent. The 
feeder supply included 35 percent steers, 36 percent heifers, and 
29 percent bulls. Near 26 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
