Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Tuesday October 18, 2016.

Cattle Receipts: 3,838   Last Week: 7,397   Last Year: 3,907

  Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly              
steady. All feeder classes sold 2.00 to 4.00 lower. Trade moderate 
with light demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold 
mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 7 percent of the offerings, 
bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 6 percent, and feeders 
86 percent. The feeder supply included 30 percent steers, 36 
percent heifers, and 34 percent bulls. Near 23 percent of the run 
weighed over 600 lbs.
