Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Tuesday August 16, 2016.

Cattle Receipts: 3,932   Last Week: 4,169   Last Year: 3,776

  Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady 
to 2.00 higher. All feeder classes sold steady to 3.00 higher. 
Trade active with good demand on feeders. Replacement cows and 
pairs sold mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 11 percent of the 
offerings, bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 7 percent, 
and feeders 81 percent. The feeder supply included 20 percent 
steers, 43 percent heifers, and 37 percent bulls. Near 21 percent 
of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
