Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Tuesday April 19, 2016.

Cattle Receipts: 2,941   Last Week: 2,593   Last Year: 2,475 

  Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly 
steady. All feeder classes sold 5.00 to 10.00 lower. Trade 
moderate with light demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs 
sold mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 9 percent of the 
offerings, bulls 2 percent, replacement cows and pairs 12 percent, 
and feeders 77 percent. The feeder supply included 24 percent 
steers, 43 percent heifers, and 30 percent bulls. Near 25 percent 
of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
