Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Thursday October 01, 2015.

Cattle Receipts: 2,189   Last Week: 2,089   Last Year:  2,609

   Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 
4.00 lower. All feeder classes sold 5.00 to 10.00 lower. Trade 
moderate with light to moderate demand on feeders. Replacement cows 
and pairs sold steady to 100.00 per head lower. Slaughter cows made 
up 9 percent of the offerings, bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and 
pairs 9 percent, and feeders 81 percent. The feeder supply included 
22 percent steers, 38 percent heifers, and 40 percent bulls. Near 27 
percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
