Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Monday September 14, 2015.

Cattle Receipts: 5,462   Last Week: 3,081   Last Year:  6,344

   Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly 
steady. All feeder classes sold 4.00 to 8.00 lower. Trade moderate
with moderate demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold 
mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 7 percent of the offerings, 
bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 8 percent, and feeders 
84 percent. The feeder supply included 26 percent steers, 36 percent 
heifers, and 38 percent bulls. Near 31 percent of the run weighed 
over 600 lbs.
