Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Monday October 06, 2014.

Cattle Receipts: 5,073   Last Week:  5,255   Last Year:  N/A   

Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold 1.00 to 
3.00 lower. All feeder classes sold 1.00 to 5.00 higher. Trade 
active with good demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold 
mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 10 percent of the offerings, 
bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 8 percent, and feeders 
81 percent. The feeder supply included 27 percent steers, 36 percent 
heifers, and 37 percent bulls. Near 16 percent of the run weighed 
over 600 lbs.
