Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Tuesday August 05, 2014.

Cattle Receipts: 7,308   Last Week:  4,074   Last Year:  7,794 

Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls steady to 3.00 
higher. All feeder classes sold 1.00 to 4.00 higher. Trade active 
with good demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold firm. 
Slaughter cows made up 9 percent of the offerings, bulls 1 
percent, replacement cows and pairs 6 percent, and feeders 84 
percent. The feeder supply included 28 percent steers, 43 percent 
heifers, and 29 percent bulls. Near 20 percent of the run weighed 
over 600 lbs.
