Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Wednesday July 30, 2014.

Cattle Receipts: 3,671   Last Week:  2,445   Last Year:  4,281

Compared to one week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls 2.00 to 6.00 
higher. All feeder classes sold 4.00 to 5.00 higher. Trade active 
with good demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold firm. 
Slaughter cows made up 10 percent of the offerings, bulls 1 
percent, replacement cows and pairs 6 percent, and feeders 83 
percent. The feeder supply included 36 percent steers, 39 percent 
heifers, and 25 percent bulls. Near 21 percent of the run weighed 
over 600 lbs.
