Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Tuesday June 24, 2014.

Cattle Receipts: 4,771   Last Week:  3,827   Last Year:  3,906

Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 
4.00 higher. All feeder classes sold 2.00 to 6.00 higher. Trade 
active with good demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs 
sold firm. Slaughter cows made up 12 percent of the offerings, 
bulls 2 percent, replacement cows and pairs 8 percent, and 
feeders 78 percent. The feeder supply included 26 percent 
steers, 46 percent heifers, and 28 percent bulls. Near 13 
percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
