Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Monday June 16, 2014.

Cattle Receipts: 3,072   Last Week:  3,239   Last Year:  2,889

Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 
2.00 higher. All feeder classes sold 5.00 to 8.00 higher. Trade 
active with good demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs 
sold firm. Slaughter cows made up 9 percent of the offerings, 
bulls 2 percent, replacement cows and pairs 7 percent, and 
feeders 82 percent. The feeder supply included 31 percent 
steers, 41 percent heifers, and 28 percent bulls. Near 19 
percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
