Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Wednesday April 09, 2014.

Cattle Receipts:  1,452   Last Week:  2,621   Last Year:  1,940

Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls lightly tested, no 
price quotes available. All feeder classes sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher. 
Trade moderate with good demand on feeders. Replacement cows and 
pairs sold mostly steady. Slaughter cows made up 5 percent of the 
offerings, bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 8 percent, 
and feeders 86 percent. The feeder supply included 26 percent steers, 
42 percent heifers, and 32 percent bulls. Near 8 percent of the run 
weighed over 600 lbs.
