Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Wednesday January 15, 2014.

Cattle Receipts:  3,057    Last Week:  932      Last Year: 1,455

Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls steady to 2.00 
higher. All feeder classes sold 1.00 to 4.00 higher. Trade moderate 
with good demand on feeders. Slaughter cows made up 11 percent of the 
offerings, bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 8 percent, and 
feeders 80 percent. Replacement cows and pairs sold mostly steady. 
The feeder supply included 20 percent steers, 42 percent heifers, and 
38 percent bulls. Near 19 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
