Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Tuesday September 24, 2013.

Cattle Receipts: 5,066  Last Week: 5,001   Last Year: 5,460

Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold 3.00 to 4.00 
lower. All feeder classes sold steady to 3.00 higher. Replacement 
cows and pairs sold mostly steady. Trade moderate with moderate 
demand on feeders. Slaughter cows made up 7 percent of the offerings, 
bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 8 percent, and feeders 84 
percent. The feeder supply included 37 percent steers, 44 percent 
heifers, and 19 percent bulls. Near 44 percent of the run weighed 
over 600 lbs.
